next generation tattoo machines

Posted by dilligaf on 09/06/06

just recently started doing color work with nex gen. iseem to get a fuller saturation over all . I felt like i was learnig all over again due to the fact that i have been tattooing with a long stroke ,and the next gens have ashorter stroke. they also seem to have a lot of spring tension on them. any one out there got two cents to throw in on the subject of these machines? likes? dislikes? etc.

honestly, if you know machines and why they do what you can make the machine work for you instead of having to re learn how you tattoo

machines are all set up different ways when you get them. if you have a consistant tattoo technique this set up just might be what youve been looking for

i love them... but if you know how to set up a machine you will be happy with anything that is sold by the leading names and is not chromed or has had a life as a beltbuckle before... if you can't, though. you can buy whatever you like for 1000$ and it might carve you chasm into your customer...

learn about machines... it's easy and the knowledge is out there, up for grabs for everyone these days. If you can't deal with machines there is only three excuses, lazyness or stupidity...

I agree with you with that a machine can be tuned anyway and a artist should know all there is about tuning. Easier to learn them most think.... When builders sell machines they tune them how they like to tune em ....without a request to change it.... They build them consistently so if you have exactly the same machine he does, you can help him out cause they will be tuned basically identical or very close to one another. I know some may disagree but i build them so ask another builder for a second opinion on that if you must =)

Words of wisdom, i recomend talking to gaston from fallen king machines, he knows his stuff and will help you out for sure, definitly if you buy a machine from him.... I recomend getting one, ultra smooth and consistent =)
