Hey everybody recently a local shop that is def not known for their quality work has recently been advertising and selling cheap crap tattoo supplies out of their shop. Its def a shady joint so im sure its not like hes asking for business licence or anything i feel like this place is going to be aiding in untrained scratchers getting people sick does anyone know if their is anything i can do or somone to call to see if they can sell to the general public like they have been? Thankx

I can only suggest to check your local and state laws on the sale of medical supply, dermagraphics and the like. I've heard that in some states it's illegal to even own a machine without proper licensing so I say start there. Then if you can, just give the typical anonymous tip to the "right agency" and the problem will solve itself.

Honestly in my region of the states pretty much any shop will sell an item or two if you're "in the life" but no one goes into actual sales, scratchers seek their own so the more crappy shops there are in a given area, the more scratching there will be.

I'm in TN and based on my experience, you're on your own. There are multiple scratchers in this area that we have names, addresses, and victims ready to testify against and the health department won't do anything. Enough to make a man want to grab a match...
I digress. Their excuse is that they are horribly understaffed and that prosecution isn't much of a deterrent for this type of crime.
The fact that an actual shop is involved makes it that much more difficult. I also have my personal opinion about how much we voluntarily involve government in what we do.

Shot in the dark: If you haven't already talked to the people doing this, talk to them first. that way when the shit hits the fan you can always say 'I told you so'. Also, gang members tend to like tattoos and have a certain moral flexibility regarding property damage and the like. Most tattoo establishments are also conveniently built from flammable materials. My lawyer has informed me that whenever I post stuff like this in the INTERNET that I must tell everyone reading it that I am joking, that I do not endorse nor condone illegal activity of any kind, and that anyone that would do such a thing is a real asshole.

Lets face it..........
its happening all over...... there is even a supply shop in the flee market in the town I live.
(lucky me I was wearing a kingpin supply shirt the day I saw it..Ironic??
whats even more Ironic is that I dont really order anything from kingpin anymore.... anyway...)

I just got over it all... I dont care....
I posted in another thread here about the same thing
I worry about myself, and my stuff, people going to those places often are not the ones who are going to actually invest in a decent tattoo anyway...
often you will hear them say "My friends brother said he would do it for fifty bucks"
Well go ahead...
to be honest I dont really want to bother with that type of client anyhow.
sounds harsh but its how I feel...

as for the supplies being sold,
hey its happening either there on ebay, ect...
thats the difference between there 30 dollar digital pro power supply
and the eikon ems 400 I posted the review on..
same as there 10 wrap pro elite machine,
next to any of the next gens I have, or places next to one of gastons machines....

you could spend all day worried about what there doing...
but its prob better to just stay on your own path, and push yourself further...
