sticky gloves

Posted by paulsxm on 09/04/10

which (latex) gloves are nice and sticky? or textured? or both?
for easier stretching..

i stopped using vaseline during the tattoo, (and bought stencil stuff).
i also use a more dryer paper towel, or one with a wet side and a dry side (wipe ink, then dry skin). (and for smaller tattoos i will even leave the towel on my tray, until needed. so my hands stay dry).
this all improved the ability to stretch alot.
i use both hands in a three point stretch.
but the 'regular' gloves i buy at the pharmacy are pretty smooth.
think i can get better stretches with stickier rubber.

I like the nitrile gloves. Gives a pretty good grip even with some ointment. It's also safer just in case someone is allergic to latex.

Black widow nitriles gloves are textured but I found with textured gloves sometimes there are small holes so def double check em and I also double up on them

The Black Widow gloves suck... Go to a non-tattoo medical supply store/website and get the blue nitrile exam gloves... cheaper and a bit thicker and really sticky
