diamond tip

Posted by Dan on 12/23/10

What are the benefits lining with a disposable diamond tip rather a round tip? For the last two years I have always used round tips and never took curiosity for the diamond tips till one of my friends told me they are better for lining with 3's and tight 5's. I never go over 5 so I really wouldn't matter to me if it didn't benefit for larger groupings.

I get more control out them.. You do however need to twist and turn your machine around a bit more often because you want to make sure you keep your needle seated in the back of the tip... I use only diamonds now.. all the way up to a loose 8rl.

well it been a issue for me for year's but it a personal preference with me that when i line with one it does not hold the ink and i get a puddling some time with a diamond tip and that with a bend in the needle bar to keep it to set right back along to tip .with a round i can hold more ink and still lay a good line down and i don't get the pudding but when making sharp or round corner i have to slow down that s both with both metal and or disposable tubes. by the why have a good Christmas ya'll

lining with a round tip seems completly crazy to me unless ur riding the tube...the needle bounces all over the place when there is no groove for it to ride in

i run my machines slower and hand movement is slow and i don't like to get in a hurry and i don't ride the tip of the tube unless i have to run a real long line but never really need to ride the tip of the tube .i do have diamond but with a round it holds more ink or pigment so i don't have to dip all the time . if i can find a good diamond tip out there that can hold the ink for me with out giving me the problem . like to try a micky sharpz or a blitz tubes i have pulse and national for diamond tips and rounds. so maybe i mite try some new thing but if what work for me at this time i am going to stick with it.well hope you guys have a good Christmas dinner and god bless.
