Beeswax coated needles?

Posted by inkyneedle on 12/01/10

So I was on Technical Tattoo Supply a minute ago and they have beeswax coated needles? That doesn't sound appealing to me at all. They don't come sterilized so I would assume that the wax would melt off during the sterilization process. Is the wax there to protect the tips of the needles during shipping? I try to keep up on all of the latest developments and available products but this is new to me and honestly I think it is one product that I would skip on. Have any of you ever ordered or used these?

I got some pre-mades like 12 or 13 years ago, before pre-mades were what they are today, and each one had a drop of hot glue on the tip. I assumed it's to protect the tips. I never used them. I was making my own back then. But maybe it's something similar? Or are they carbon, and it's to keep away corrosion? I don't know, that is kinda weird.

look three threads down to stoney knows , watch it 5 times and if 50% sinks in , this place may get back to civility !
p.s. i didn`t really call or google and could care less to have any idea how to reach said company.
