Fusion Tattoo Ink

Posted by Spiro on 10/20/09

Hi everyone, I know there has been a lot of talk about inks lately. I highly recommend them. They are a new company that branched off of eternal by the main guy that started eternal ink named Adam I think. If you love Eternal Ink, these are by far superior to Eternal Ink. Same Colors and to me they seem stronger and more pigmented towards concentrate so you can break them down better. Mike Cole personally turned me on to them. I bought a set and love em more than Eternal Ink. If you would like to see a tattoo done with this ink, go to my site www.spirotattoo.com and look at the gallery. The first tattoo in the gallery with the three skulls was done by me last night. It really is great stuff. Tell them Spiro recommended them to you. Adam and his wife Peggy are very nice people. Lemme know what you think about the ink when you use it. Oh yea, They are cheaper than eternal as well!!

SAD! use your own venues to promote one and bash another.

Oh, I am very sorry if it came off that way, I meant no disrespect towards anyone. I was just trying to turn you guys on a better product. I was try to share information and since fusion was made by the same guy as eternal initially, I figured it would be good comparison to use. Next time I won't make that mistake and share anything, I forgot you have to be a tattoo god to give advice.

you dont have to be a god, but it does'nt look good to promote one and shit on another. there are so many new products out there, it seems people are in it for money not loyalty or for the artists. i am not saying it is'nt a good ink either, i have never tried it nor will i. i try not to be trendy, i use what works for me, if it is'nt broke, don't fix it.

i dont think that he bashed or shit on eternal at all. i think you guys are being over sensitive. he just simply made comparisons of the two.

Yeah, I mean it does sound like an advertisement, but the chemist for Fusion Ink is the same guy who was developing Eternal, so I think it's only natural to compare the two. And many people have concerns with eternal after their bacteria scare a little bit ago. I think losing a good chemist might attribute to that, which is why I started to look at Fusion Ink as well. None of us are forum moderators so if we don't like someones approach maybe its better to just lay off, though I'm guilty of doing that before too. I think everyone can agree that most inks have great colors and then some less than great colors. But whenever I'm looking for something new first thing I do is ask around to see if people like it, so what's the harm in someone saying they do?

I only have the sample set, but in comparing to Eternal (no shit talking, just comparing) the power brown is way easier to put in the skin then Eternals range of browns IMO (I haven't used Intense's browns though I hear they are better than Eternals as well, their gamma green is less thick then Eternal's nuclear green and goes in easier as well, and I have experienced no drying in the ink cap as of yet which were some of my major beefs with Eternal. I am still waiting to see more healed results, but it seems sweet so far.

Please note that this is not an attempt to bash Eternal, but it seems like the things that have annoyed me with Eternal have been fixed with Fusion, so I'm into it. I'd like to check out Easy Glow as well, because I've heard good things about that, so if anyone has and wants to compare that to Fusion I'd be happy to hear their experiences as well as anyone that has a full set of Fusion and has experienced any problem colors :-)

Thanks again to those who defended my point, which was not meant in any way to hurt anyones feelings, sorry again if you took it as an advertisement. As far as me shooting my website, that was not an advertisement as well. I was wanting to show a tattoo done with that particular ink. It would be more convenient to show a tattoo done with the ink, then just say so and have you buy a sample set. I went ahead and bought a whole 2 oz set, and havent had any problems with the ink, I actually use there basic black to line with and it goes in smoother than dynamic black which I still love. Anyway, for those of you with an open mind, give it a try, you might find a new ink company you could be happy with, that is all i wanted was to give to you all who have given and shared info. Just passing the torch which is what it is all about. Enjoy.

Spiro

Lets not forget that different people with different skin types take tattoos completely differently. Do an extensive study with several tattoos on several different people and see what kind of healed results you get. This seems like you did one specific tattoo with this stuff and jumped on the band wagon. Just saying. This can be a brutal forum so try being a little more thorough. Peace.

Max,

As far as I know, you can only call them. They have a myspace page right now and are having a website built, but if you go to what would be the websites address, there myspace page should come up. I am sure it is fusiontattooink.com. I personally loved eternal when I firsy bought them excluding the graffiti green. The blues were ok, but I loved the yellows, reds, and violets a lot. There orange is good too. The second batch I got of this stuff was not good at all. I found out that fusion was made by the same chemist and it fixed all the problems that I personally had with eternal.

what is the consistency of fusion? is it thick like most of eternals colors? and are all of the colors the same consistency?

RE:Fusion Tattoo Ink

I would not say they were thick. I do not like thick inks, I would say stable ink is thick, I would say it is a little thinner than eternal, more creamy than anything, but not as thin as fantasia. I like the consistancy. I guess you wouls have to pick up a couple of colors too see if you like them. The thing that really turned more on about them, is they seemed to be more pigmented, a stronger ink. You really can take the ink and mix through them. I like taking the darker color they have and breaking them down right in the ink cap for the color I am wanting. Sort of the same thing you do to pull a certain tone out of paint when painting. I suppose you would have to be a painter to get what I am saying, to me it works in the same way. Hope that helps.

hey spiro i checked out both companys price sheets and for one two and four oz. bottles fusion is 50 cents cheaper but for 8 oz. bottles eternal is five dollars cheaper. so really they arent cheaper than eternals colors. i did pick up a couple small bottles of fusion at the pittsburgh convention last weekend so i can try them out myself.

Ink is one of the most important aspects of tattooing. Lately with so many people having the chance to make ink and create a company we all (as tattooers) have to be careful. do some research, talk to the people at the company, find anything and everything out. pay attention to who is making the ink, do they tattoo, can you see photos of there work healed with that product, are they personally tattooed, do they have the ink in there skin, the people at these companies are down to talk and go off about there product. A lot of ink makers tattooed in the past, and dont have time to do it now. I have been givin ink in the past, and bought tons of random companies ink as well trying to find the best and have had tons of random issues.
now that there are bacteria recalls, rumors, and just plain and simple healed results, this will help us all make our decision in who we want to support. im sure the companies are taking the proper actions to control any problems or issues to reassure we can continue using there product.

im not taking sides or pointing fingers or trying to create anything other than awareness of what is happening in our industry.

as of right now, i swear by two ink companies, use a random companies white and a random black. use what works, use what ya like, and hopefully we can all keep tattooing forever.

lemme know what you think Jess. I am not jumping on any Bandwagon. This is not the only forum I take part in, or is this the only daily contact i have with other tattooers. Like I said, There it is, give it a try, if you like it, great, if not, thats fine also. Good Day!
