Godoy Tattoo Machines

Posted by Ryan on 08/28/10

Not to bring up another "best" machine topic (not that their a bad thing), but I have the Godoy's book and decided to do a few searches for opinions on their machines and stuff, but I haven't had much luck finding anyone talking about their machines. I think their coils and stuff are pretty interesting in theory, so I figured I'd just ask if anyones tried them and had any thoughts.

Nice man, I'm thinking I might try and pick one up soon if I can scrape the cash together. They seem to know their shit, just haven't heard much from people using them.

The square coil thing makes me wonder how tight they are wound. Seems like you would have air gaps. Thats not in anyway a negative critique, because i have no experience with them. Ive always wanted to buy a machine from them but havint gotten around to it.

I thought that as well about the coils at one time, but after I received mine I was quite impressed. It's a worker bee

My last boss used them exclusively. He's the UK distributor for them too. He did pick up an Aaron Cain Acantha Jones, but kept going back to the Godoy machines.
He lent me a couple to try and I personally couldn't get on with them, but they suit him fine.

i just couldnt keep out of this one. i think the godoy brothers are brilliant in their approach to tattooing, machines, art and all around doin their thing.

i think everyone should give a good read to the

"What about the quality of these Chinese machines? compared to say, U.S. or European machines?"

section on http://www.tattoolz.com/godoy2010.html in addition to their book!

I do NOT condone knockoffs, or rip offs, but it does shed a bit of light on what makes a machine "good". spend 100 bucks on their book or another 500 on a machine that runs like crap?

its the same thing i got flamed for saying on here, except these guys wrote a book about it! lmao cheers!
