premixing inks precautions

Posted by Rhendrickson on 04/04/10

So if i decide to divide up my inks mix certain colors and put them into new ink bottles what precautions should I take. I ordered some extra ink bottles for this, but want to make sure they are sanatized enough to do this. I realize there is some form of bacteria nearly on everything. Will putting madicide in them and letting them sit and then draining the madicide out of tip of the bottle suffice?

Both ethanol (ethyl alcohol) and isopropanol (isopropyl alcohol) are alcohols that kill bacteria. I would suggest that instead of Madicide!
