Fantasia?

Posted by Rob on 01/26/10

So primarily I use starbrite inks and have been a long time advocate of them but...I just came across fantasia. I've only used a handful of colors from them and each has a consistency very similar to starbrites canary yellow. I have been floored with the results both immediate and healed so far with the colors I've used and am really digging them so far. With that being said, has anyone else used them on a grander scale and if so, what are some thoughts and/or opinions? Just curious...thanks all!

Rob,
I know you are asking about Fantasia inks but you may be interested to know that the chemist who used to make ink for Fantasia & Eternal has now started his own business... FUSION TATTOO INK. He's taking his years of experience and making the inks the way he wants with the Fusion line. His name is Adam and is a killer stand up guy. I can't say enough about how great their customer service is. www.fusiontattooink.com. If you haven't already seen the thread on his ink it's ongoing in this forum. Just a FYI

fantasia is a great ink, and also a thin ink. they heal super bright and go in very easy. their sea foam is off the charts.

Yeah, thats what im talking about...everything is watery like canary yellow from starbrite and goes in just as well. Heals ridiculously bright and creamy, especially for the consistancy of it.

i really dig thier blue conc. for mixing. I have heard a few bad things about them in general, but personaly havent had any issues with the handful of them ive tried.

Rob, I just took a quick look and there are actually two other threads on Fusion Ink. Look for the one that has 28 comments (the other only has 3).... Oh, yeah, I used Starbright for years too, switched to Eternal a few years ago and am now using Fusion. I still cherry pick a hand full of Starbrights and Eternals to supplement my Fusions. But, I'll probably never go back to buying a full set of Starbright. Not because they aren't good ink but, personally I know what their best colors are and only need those. Adam told me that he has upped the pigment load in his new inks compared to Fantasia. Thus, probably a little thicker and more pigment. Good SOLID saturation.
