Disposable Liner tubes

Posted by Spiro on 10/14/09

It is not everyday that I use disposable tubes, but i noticed in particular when using the disposable liner tubes, they do not work as well to me and a steel tube? Why is that? I noticed that the tube seems to absorb more of the tension of the machine. Does that make sense? To me, it seems to get the result I want from the liner, I have to turn the machine up, but end up at a point in which it is running way too fast. Any suggestions?

i think its because plastic creates more friction than stainless steel does, therefore requiring more voltage..you may need to adjust your machine a little to perform better when running disposables..for the smaller round tips i find that the light blue tubes(technical i think) work best for me..what your experiencing is one of the disadvantages of using disposables..somebody said it here awhile ago(i think it was gaston from fki) that if they had a little steel sleeve on the inner part of the tip it would probably eliminate that issue..
