I usually put my foot in my mouth every time I post so here I go again. I have not been tattooing for very long only a short 4 years however during the whole time I have used starbright pigments, which are wonderfull (in my opinion) anyone who is familiar with a color wheel can easily mix any shade, hue or tone. a lot of the time pigments can be easily mixed in the tube during the applications process. Eternal inks will not improve your tattoo career. They might be quality pigments but honestly how different can they be. There are 50 some odd different water bottling companies out there, so it doesn't matter what kind you buy you are still just drinking water. I find its easier to keep things simple. Buy some primarys (red, blue, yellow) get a big bottle of black and an even bigger bottle of white and just have fun. I find its more satisfying doing stuff on your own. Kinda like going to the library for reasearch instead of the internet. I firmly believe that google image searches are getting so over used by so called custom artists that its almost like picking a piece of flash off the wall. Putting in a little elbow grease never hurt anyone.....what happened?

the main diff here i think is just the ratio of the ingredients...they all use the same ingredients, its just a matter of how much pigment powder vs. vehicles and mixed with what other pigment powder to get that certain hue...but i know nothing about inks i swear...other than the fact that there are only 3 powder-pigment manufacturers in the world...and all our ink co. get there shit from 1 of these 3...or all.but again what do i know.

i forgot to mention the flake size....this is an issue as well...but once you buy a powder pigment you can chop it down to whatever mill, but you cant make it bigger...

lurk just gave you your epiphany. 'eternal ink will not improve your career'. for that matter neither will starbrite, dermaglo, or whatever company it may be. while not all inks created equal, when you break through the cavalcade of inks that from here on will be referred to as tinted piss, and into the upper echelon of inks its more a matter of personal preference than anything else. i have been using eternal for a little while now and love it. the next man will say the same for starbrite, and the next for dermaglo, and the next for something else. the point is, if you are unhappy with the ink you are currently using, order a sample pack from a few different companies and figure out which is right for you. i will say this for eternal though, i have not seen another pigment as vibrant as eternal. both in the inkcap and in the skin, healed.

I like Eternal just because the pigments seem to be really fine and thin. They go in easy and heal bright. Ive heard that eternal inks are run through a rock tumbler to break down the pigment particles I'm not sure if thats really true or not but I've heard of other artists doing that with their own ink for that reason. I also use starbrite and dermaglo for certain things as well.

i hear that not as many people are allergic to the eternal because it's organic. (i had a buddy that was allergic to EVERY color, and has to use organic inks.)
He got an eternal set and the color pieces he's doing look great. I'm using intenze right now thinking of ordering some eternal. i dont think that every brand of Ink is the same. That'd be like saying that every machine was the same when, i pretty sure there's a big difference between a cam machine and an aaron cain machine.
but anyway i suggest mixing and matching. i like intenze, some from skin candy. some from here and there. order some same sets.

in reply to KZ, this is just my opinion, but i have a friend that used skin candy, and the people he used it on had BAD reactions. 4 different people that all had tattoos from him with different ink.never a problem until now. was wondering if any body else had reactions with skin candy. i acually love some of the reds(knuckle head, etc)

i havent seen a whole lot of problems with it...but i have some on me that was done by an 18+ year solid tattooer. it healed lighter than a regular brand of pink. it healed great..just light. the rest of the tattoo is fuckin sick. bright as hell using starbrite i think.-joep

Travelingtom-
Strange. I don't know because I've only used a few colors. All i use right now is the muddy water blue, and cherry fudge. ,but my old boss used to have a set of it and he loved it. He never had any problems with them.,personally i think the colors are kinda hard to push in the skin but they do have some cool colors though.
