yea ive used it to tattoo on a friend, at the halloween bash in the uk. We had done a day already, so had a little spray & yea u could work long on the broken skin. He use it while it was healin under the cling film, got good healing time with less pain. But i havent used it since at my studio as i normaly dont tattoo more than 3 hours sittings. I think i'll use it for conventions to push that extra hour.

thanks for helping , Did you see goose bumps on your client ? Can you tattoo on the goose bumps. I want to use it during the tattoo not just at the end ?

Hey, Myself and my mentor has used it, i have only used it once or twice but my mentor uses it mainly when he is using multilayers of colours or shades ect, he find it does work, and it takes the edge off things, but then again someone i tattoo dosent feel the effect of it, maybe its just a psychological thing and just puts your mind at rest. tis pricey but worth it in some cases. id give it a 7 outa 10 if i had to , and for healing we have never seen a change in healing process

Thanks badger , Does he use it throughout the tattoo ? I want to know if i can
use it a few times throughout the tattoo or if there is a limit to how much you should use? I was told by carlton that he likes it and i seen him use it in his dvd.

And besides badger , Someone answer already !! Damn this forum is getting real bad. All the a**holes are gone but now there is no one here at all.

Haha, yeah it is gatting a bit quiet ant it,
He tends to only use it once, after he has done a lot of outline on a medium size piece, or when the client saying its stinging or hurting, i dont see why you cant use it multiple times on the same tattoo, only than the fact it is expensive.. hope it helps,
Badger

i've never used vasocain, but i do use bactine. not sure how similar they are but they both require the skin to be broken. in the case of bactine tho, if you over use it, it can cause the skin to become inflamed and extremely painful. as far as healing results, the numbing agents with epinephrin (i think thats how its spelled?) or similar agents that restrict blood flow are usually the ones that can cause hiccups during the healing process. hope that helps!

I've used bactine quite a bit and never noticed any swelling or inflammation. I do try not to over use it, but mostly because it just seems to stop working. Anyone looking to really numb up a bad area should just shell out the bucks and buy some Dr. Numb. The couple clients I've had who used it were completely numb for 3-4 hours and most important, healed up perfectly.

have you used vasocaine griffen ? Josh carlton said goose bumps occur from using it sometimes. I was worried maybe it would ruin healing or ink wont go in easily after using it. Josh used it at the end of the tattoo i want to use it a few times , once after lining then while layering and shading maybe two times specially for white or lite colors because it stops the bleeding a little also. This is why i would spray it before white so no blood mixes at all.

When you use your shader or when i use mine it bogs down a bit while shading so i stick out about a nickel worth of needle while its runing and press the tube tip
on the skin. It goes down to almost a dime once i rub the nipple to replacate the skin bog down. Does anyone do this ? Do you let allot of needle come out and work of the needle with mags and shading. How do you run your shader with the amount of bog down or not and how much needle do you let come past the tip while the machine is runing. I figured this can get everyone talking and sharing how they like to shade or packing color and black with machines that bog down or not.
