I tried to post this once but can't find it now so this may show up twice, anyway im curious to know how everyones black and grey machines are setup and running, myself i have .20 rear and .18 front springs with 47uf cap, about a nickle gap and runs about 15hz, oh and 1" 8 waraps. I know frame geometry plays into this as well but I want to get my machine to hit softer without taking away from the speed of the machine so im hoping some of you have some ideas or tips for quick and soft

I use and 18 rear and 20 front spring. I have about 450grams rear spring tension and small contact gap. Also I keep my needles extended from tip around .070" I have an article on machine set-up on my site: www.SanMartinTattoo.com I sell a spring gauge and feeler gauge with instructions.

Thanks for the replies guys. Oh, san martin I was checking out your site, I kinda like the idea of the sticker under the a-bar, can it be any type of sticker or are you using something specific

I use label stickers that you can find at staples. I use stickers that are not too thick, so theres no interference with magnetism. Also, I have a special hole puncher that gives me perfect size circles.

I don't think two-way tape would work the same as my material. The material I use is super vibration absorbent. My O Rings use this same material as well.
