This piece started about 5 years ago with just the American flag and banners, done shortly after finishing my apprenticeship. Since then Jay has gone on to get the waterfall sleeve from me and become one of my favorite clients to work on. This year he came back to get his other arm finished with a space scene, so I reworked the original flag and put it on a flag pole rising off of planet Earth. I tried to incorporate as much detail and movement into this piece as I could, to make the universe seem like the crazy, chaotic place it is.
