Medieval Battle Scene
This tattoo was based largely on an amazing woodcut by Albrecht Durer which depicts an apocalyptic religious battle scene. It is the continuation of the 'Martyr and Tree' piece which is elsewhere in my tattoo gallery, and continues the sharded glass effect and abstract floating orb motif used in the top half of the sleeve. Yes, I just used the word motif.
